Definition
The DVB-S2 and DVB-T2 physical layers provide Generic Stream modes for conveying arbitrary, variable length payload frames. To identify the type of payload frames, a field in the header of these physical layers is used. For example, in the case of DVB-S2 and DVB-T2, the SYNC field is used. Further details about the fields used can be found in ETSI TS 102 606-1.
